Kidney Transplants
A Kidney Transplant is an operation in which a person with kidney failure receives a new kidney. The new kidney takes over the work of cleaning the blood and all of the other functions of a kidney. Patients that are eligible for Kidney Transplantation can come off of dialysis or even avoid dialysis completely with a successful Kidney Transplant.
The physicians of Nephrological Associates work closely with the local kidney transplant programs to ensure optimal pre- and post-transplant care.
